Vinschgau Cycle Path

Right behind the Schnalserhof runs the well-known Vinschgau Cycle Path, which leads from the Reschen Pass all the way to Merano. The route, around 86 kilometres long, follows the course of the Adige River and lets you explore the lovely villages by bike. Enjoy the ride on the perfectly restored cycle paths and discover the nature and villages of the Vinschgau Valley.

Night of Lights

One of the special events of the summer is the “Night of Lights” in Naturns.
The event takes place on a Wednesday evening in July. The village has various drink and food stalls. Accompanied by live music, the shops, which stay open later, invite you to stroll around.

Transhumance – UNESCO intangible cultural heritage

Twice a year, in June and September, the sheep drive up to and down from the high pastures takes place in Schnals, with around 4,000 animals.

Törggelen

Törggelen is a South Tyrolean tradition. From early October to the end of November, you can enjoy the unique dishes in various restaurants and farm taverns (Buschenschänke) in the Vinschgau Valley. Taste the smoked cured meats with sauerkraut and roasted chestnuts, and drink the traditional South Tyrolean grape must, the “Suser”.
